G&D is proud to announce that we are now a major sponsor of the popular Car based TV show Gasolene. The 3rd season aired starting Jan 27th 2009 on Channel 31. Channel 31 is available throughout many states in Australia & not just Victoria as before. We will have many G&D segments throughout the series featuring G&D work in progress in various formats. We've been working hard shooting footage over the last couple of months & I think viewers will find it quite interesting with much focus on real world footage, cars & hardcore technical segments that most people can relate to & afford. We'll be mixing it up with modern high tech & also some old school muscle. Keep your eye out for it, I think you'll find it to be great viewing.

Worlds fastest VE runs even faster

G&D are happy to announce that our VE has gone even faster!!!!! Lowering its own world record. On December 6th 2008 at Calder Park raceway we ran the car in exactly the same format as last time except for the addition of lightweight race wheels & drag slicks. The car also ran new signage. During the course of the day we had issues with traction due to a slippery track but still managed a blistering 10.15 @ 138mph!!!!!!. We are getting ever so close to that elusive 9 second  pass. Hopefully next time out with a stickier track we’ll get there.

G&D TAKES ANOTHER RECORD WORLD FASTEST!!!!! VE/G8 Pontiac

G&D Performance recently set out on a mission to build Australia’s fastest VE Commodore. Six months later we are happy to announce that we have achieved this 1st time out at the 2008 Holden Nationals held at Heathcote Park Raceway. Not only did we break the record, we smashed it, with a blistering 10.30 @ 134mph. This now makes us the worlds fastest including Pontiacs G8 version of the VE SS. To add salt to the wounds of our competitors we ran the car in full street trim, full weight, full exhaust & using a street legal drag radial tyre. We then progressed to Calder Park running an even faster 10.21 @ 135mph in the same format other than having the addition of a full roll cage which is required for any car running under a 10.99 sec time at Calder. We are extremely happy with this result considering that the race weight of this car is very heavy 2000kg. The car is currently running a twin turbocharged combination on the factory stock 6lt engine with only a valve spring upgrade to cope with boost pressure. An off the shelf race fuel helps keep the engine running in peak shape at 12 psi boost levels producing in excess of an incredible 900hp at the flywheel. For strength the transmission is an old school hydraulic unit at this point in time until we complete our factory 6spd auto research & development in the near future. Continual research & development will see this car run even faster as time go’s on.
