By way of background the Team Mertens vehicle started as an 04 VZ SS running in Class A of the Australian Production Car Championship in 2006. For 2007 the car was upspecced to VY HSV GTS and runs

in Class P of the 2007 Australian Production Car Championship.The car runs a C4B engine, balanced, blueprinted and indexed, AP 6 spot front and 4 spot rear with endless pads and fully adjustable Bilstein
